| Soma's kitchen - Green Curry Chicken |
It's a delicious dish with some unusual combination of flavours
Ingredients:
400g Bone less Chicken
4tbsp Plain Yogurt

| Marinade Chicken with masala |
1tbsp Ginger & Garlic Pest
6ps Cashew nuts
2ps Green Chilies
2ps Medium size Onion chopped
3tbsp Vegetable Oil
Handfull of Mint & Coriander leaves
1tbsp Ghee or Vegetable Oil
1/4tsp Turmeric powder
Salt to taste
1/2cup warm water
1cm Cinnamon stick
2 whole Cloves
2 Cardamom pods
4 Black Peppercorns
1/2tsp Cumin seeds
1tsp Coriander seeds
1tbsp Cream
Process:
Heat the oil in a pan over medium high heat. Add the onions and saute until soft. Remove from the heat and set aside.
In a grinder, grind the green chilies, coriander & mint leaves, cashew nuts and sauteed onions to make a thick masala paste.
In a large bowl combine the masala with a ginger & garlic paste and yogurt. Add the chicken and rub the paste into the meat using your fingers making sure that the chicken is evenly coated and let it marinade for half an hour.
Heat the ghee or vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat and add the chicken. Cook until the ghee or oil separates from the rest of the mixture then add the turmaric and salt to taste continue cooking for about 5 more minutes on medium heat.
Add warm water and cook for about 15minutes or untill the chicken is cooked through. Grined the cinnamon sticks, cloves, cardamom pods, black pepper along with the cumin & coriander seeds. Add this ground spice mix and the cream to the chicken curry. Simmer for another 3-5minutes. The gravy should be rich and thick.
This dish goes well with rice, naan or roti.
